We are seeking a Governmental Affairs Manager to join us in Denmark. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing the Governmental Affairs strategy to ensure our medicines can continue to have the biggest impact on improving health. The role

As a Governmental Affairs Manager, your role will be multifaceted. You will monitor the political development in the health care system relevant for your area of responsibilities and contribute to internal and external committee work. Your insights will be essential in developing and implementing national policy shaping strategies and plans to support R&I, CVRM and Oncology therapy areas with a clear link to the brand performances. You will also act as an advisor on governmental affairs, activities and projects, transferring your understanding from current public policy positions of various organisations and institutions to internal stakeholders, such as Marketing Managers, Medical Scientific Advisers and  Market Access Managers to optimize brand strategies. You will be an integrated part of the franchise teams and have a proactive lead role of the some of the transformative  projects and report into the business on their progress. Your success will be measured by the direct change in frame conditions and patient pathways and hereby business performance.

In order to succeed

We are looking for an individual with a Master’s degree in political science, business administration or similar. Public policy experience in the healthcare area and strong knowledge of the political landscape and health care system in country are essential for this role. Extensive experience on delivering impactful projects will be key and commercial pharma experience a significant plus.

Essential requirements 

  • Strategic and analytical capabilities.  

  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills.  

  • Excellent collaborator.   

  • Good ability to create internal and external relations and ability to work cross-functionally.  

  • Experience from working in parliament, ministries or similar.

  • Excellent knowledge in English and local language.  

  • Flair for science and business.
